Rupert spends the day with his Great Aunt Ada, along with his unruly puppy, Roly. Great Aunt Ada is determined to teach them some manners and get them to clean her house. Worse than Great Aunt Ada, is her parrot, Gordon, who bosses Rupert and Roly around as they clean.
Roll Over Roly is a book for younger children. It was first published in 1999, but Puffin brought out a new edition in 2002, while Anne Fine held the post of Children's Laureate, to coincide with World Book Day.
